Meet Paula

Paula Borsetti is an artist living and working in Beverly, MA. and Sebago, ME.
Her Massachusetts studio is a converted garage where she works in a variety of media including painting, drawing, printmaking & mixed media work. Her highly layered paintings are inspired by her life and the natural world. She draws inspiration from her environment and everyday moments which she captures in abstract narrative paintings. The works are deeply personal, yet have a universal appeal.
Her Maine studio is a screen porch open to the sounds of nature and views of the lake. It is here that time slows down and the paintings become even more contemplative.Paula’s work is exploration and play. She is inspired by the natural world around me from the coast, marshes and woods to her favorite place in Maine.
Paula left teaching at Beverly High School, after having taught art there for 26 years to focus on her own work and family.
Along with her husband Joe, they established Locust Street Studios where they are collaborating on creating custom painted paddles, shaped signs and hand-carved/painted whirligigs.
Paula’s work can be found in person year round at The Salted Cod Arthouse on Rocky Neck, Gloucester, MA., in local exhibits at North Shore Art Association, Newburyport Art Association, Rocky Neck Art Colony, online and through her studio in Beverly, MA.
