The Alquemie Project is dedicated to the belief in the transformative power of art to support humanity and build community. The Alquemie Project has presented 4 annual Art Exhibitions of artwork reflecting the truth, beauty, and wonder in the natural, imagined or created world, in Salem. We have now decided to host our 2025 Alquemie Project in our Beverly location at 192 Cabot Street. The 2025 exhibition will be held in September 2025. Please refer back here for more information.

General Alquemie Project Guidelines

Preferred mediums are of oils, acrylic, gouche, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media. Final works of art are not to exceed 30” x 30”. Accepted submissions must be framed or on wrapped canvas ready to hang. A maximum of 3 original works may be entered per artist. No entry fee.

Artwork Selection Criteria
Depiction of truth, depiction of beauty, depiction of wonder, overall aesthetic value, and quality of artistic composition and design.
